Pete the Vet Named Blog of the Year at 2018 Blog Ireland Awards

Following thousands of entries, over 400 finalists and four rounds of extensive judging, Pete the Vet has been named Blog of the Year (sponsored by at the Blog Awards Ireland 2018. Pete the Vet impressed the judges so much that he also took top honours in the Best Education and Science Blog (business) and Best Lifestyle Blog (business) categories. Pete (the Vet) Wedderburn is well known across Ireland on both TV and radio and the unique style and knowledge he brings to his blog really stood out.

Now in their 7th year, the awards recognise both personal and business bloggers and have become a premium fixture in the blogging calendar. There were two other double winners on the night with Stair na hÉireann/History of Ireland being named the personal winners in Best Education and Science Blog and Best Arts & Culture Blog (sponsored by KC Peaches) while was the personal winner in Best B2B Blog and Best Marketing & Communications Blog (sponsored by Blacknight Solutions).

Well-known Irish jewellery designer Chupi was crowned Best Fashion Blog (sponsored by NEXT) for her unique musings on all things jewellery and design. The winners of all 30 categories were revealed by host Colm O’Regan at a ‘Dia de los Muertos” (Day of the Dead) themed awards bash on Thursday 25th October in TRAMLINE, Dublin where the spectre of excitement and celebration filled the room.
